Emmit Smith - "Playing in a football game is like being in 30-40 car accidents."
"An article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram explains it all started after the 1994 season when Smith endured a lot of hamstring problems and he began to ask himself some tough questions. "Do I need to get more rest? Do I need to eat better? Do I need a little more training? How can I take care of my body better? Do I need to find a chiropractor? It was time for me to invest in me," Smith said. "I found a specialist that's really good in balancing out my body to make sure my hips are rotated right, and my body is functioning properly. I remember somebody telling me that what I put myself in during the games is like having a car wreck every Sunday. It's against the norm. You can find yourself in awkward positions. That stuff takes its toll. But if you take advantage of the health care, balance your body back out, put it back where it's supposed to be, you function better, and you recover faster.".
Barry Bonds -
. "I go to my chiropractor on a regular basis, because I want to prolong my career as long as possible," he states. "I see him about once a week, in between my training (sessions). By getting an adjustment once a week from him, I feel I can sustain my career a lot longer."

Dr. McCoy provides care to local youth during their active sports season. "Working with young athletes has always been an extra passion for me." Especially when they are young and still learning. It is so important that they learn the fundamentals, including proper training, lifting technique etc.
It is also crucial that kids have an outlet like sport to learn life skills and leadership. It is sad that too many kids fall by the way side because of lack of involvement in something. "It was my involvement in playing that led me to the opportunity to continue school, opportunity for scholarships, a degree and influenced all of my achievements. Unfortunately, there are many kids whose only role models come in the form of coaches and mentors through events like youth sport. Otherwise, they would be running the streets. This is why I emphasize youth care. I see it as an opportunity to help as other helped me. If we can help a few kids avoid injury and be able to participate and play to their best potential! I think we are doing something. Whether it be it Rec ball or state playoffs every kid deserves an opportunity to shine.
Evander Holyfield - "I have to have an adjustment before I go into the ring. I do believe in chiropractic. I found that going to a chiropractor three times a week helps my performance. The majority of boxers go to get that edge."
